Mrs Next Door Neighbor's Char --- I had Champagne x 2 but no photos, far too busy chit-chatting.

Supper out with Mr&Mrs Next Door Neighbor this evening and our adorable server asked if anyone would like an adult beverage...

Mrs. NDN: How long have you known us?
Adorable Gal: awhiles now, I know that was a stupid question, but I have to ask that way
Moi: what kind of sparkling wine do you have?
Adorable Gal: ummmm, I don't think we have any of that stuff
(side note: they always have Mimosas)
Moi: something like Champagne or Prosecco
Adorable Gal: oh yeah, we have champagne!
Moi: I'll have that thanks

Oooh yeah. 3 of those and if some 80s pop comes on, I'll be dancin'!

Jesus, this bar is playing nothing but selections from my “Rather Have an Ice Pick in my Ear” playlist - Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, U2, and Bon effing Jovi - time to chug my beer!

I think that Trader Joe's and Walmart play the best "dance party" music.
You'll find me in a random aisle, dancing to the beat.
I was in our local Walmart just the other day and they were playing I'll Tumble for you, do you remember the dance they did on the MTV video?

[edit - I hit post too quickly}]

Here's what's funny.
A gal probably about my age joined me!
This young Walmart employee walks past and just stares at us.... "crazy old women!"

TastyReuben I can see that for some reason!
That movie came out in 1980, when I was 14 and I was so in love with it Irene Cara it was ridiculous.

Of course, I had to play it cool, like, “I don’t like that song! I don’t even know who sings it! Her?! She’s uuuugggly!” - all while drooling over my sister’s album of her, and watching her appearances on Solid Gold from the dining room, pretending like I was doing homework, and daydreaming that one day, she’d come to town in her big limo, would for some reason need some lumber from the sawmill (hey, it could happen, maybe she’s building a set for her next production!), she’d see me and whisk me away to her wonderful jet-set life, where we’d eventually get married and I’d play guitar in her road band and…hold on, I gotta go get a cold drink…
