My BIL lives in rural West Virginia and the local bar is in Grannie's parlor in her house up the road a piece... One Christmas all of DH's family met there for the holiday and were so s#|t faced, no body got up the next day! except for me, I just had a small sip and just about fell over coughing!!!

I use my wide-mouth pint Mason Jar as a cowboy cocktail shaker ... it works for me... and doubles as a glass too

Those letters on the top are what they made the beer with; corn, frosted flakes, white corn, you get the idea. Every year there's a huge 'shine fest in North Carolina and all the 'shiners get together and swap recipes, samples, methods, etc. I've never been.

One day I'll be getting this so I can crank out around 1 gallon of 160 proof or so homemade C2H5OH. Amazon even sells small ready to go aging barrels!

I was in a bottle store a few years ago and they were selling shine. From memory I think it was the "tickle" label.???
