Yesterday

I can't believe how much it rained yesterday, today is beautiful so far, I'm out in garden soon for the day to paint my outbuilding.

First crop of apples, not quite ripe, but ripe enough for my wife to use for making apple mint jelly.

Picked the first potatoes this morning as we’re having Sunday roast (they’ve been ready for a while but haven’t eaten potatoes for ages!).

Yellow courgette’s are finally making making an appearance.

Just harvested some of the Nantes carrots I sowed in April.

Yellow courgette’s are finally making making an appearance.

I have an issue with courgettes this year, they are not pollinated and 80% of the fruits did not grow to maturity. I guess I had to hand pollinate them.

I take it you know the male flower ( single long stamen ) does not fruit ?

Beautiful It's how I would grow them, my only comment is pull the mint before it spreads and the roots strangle everything.

Certainly did. Still call in there occasionally, but there is better bacon in town, if you know where to look

30 peas up now, just as well I planted plenty, kids want about 10each. Planting corn in the weekend.
Chillies swedes and ? One I can't think are not up yet. I'm happy with progress.
