I never thought I'd get used to the taste of Spanish brandy, but I have, and I enjoy it with sparkling water and lots of ice. It also has a starring role in my special sangria.
However, when there's a special occasion in the offing - like next door's cat's birthday, or Christmas, for instance - I love an Asbach Uralt brandy. I'd never even heard of it until we toured the factory in Ruddesheim on a trip to the German Christmas markets, but it's so smooth and mellow, I just love it. So, what's your brandy of choice, and why?
