World Vegetarian Day / Vegetarian Awareness Month - 1st October/October

Did you know that 1st October is World Vegetarian Day?
Or that the month of October is Vegetarian Awareness Month?

I didn't and I have been a vegetarian for, well more years that it says below in my signature.

Are you planning anything for either the day in question (1st October) for example trying to be vegetarian all day, or are you planning something more challenging for the whole of October - say adding to Meatless Monday's for example?

Not sure what I could do, having been vegetarian for 36 years. I suppose I could eat meat all day...

It doesn't seem to have taken off really.... At least, I heard nothing about it - it wasn't mentioned on Saturday Kitchen. I eat vegetarian a lot of the time in any case
