Mom - chicken and dumplings (we just talked about this in another topic).

Mom was a great cook but she’s handicapped, so most of the time we had somebody cooking for us. She did manage the cooking process, just not cooking herself.
That’s amazing, mine is legally blind. But how does one cook if one can’t see, it seems dangerous. I know I can’t do it.My mum was totally blind and cooked nearly all our meals. Its a source of amazement to me that she did, though I took it for granted then. She made a great apple pie with home-made pastry.

Yeah, I burn myself when I cook now.There was a lot of touch involved, I do remember that. But actually its not so unsafe. All senses come into play when cooking. Seeing is only one of them.
