I tried something new. A technique called Intarsia which is a form of colourwork where the yarn is not carried all the way around the round you're knitting, so doesn't thicken the sock.
The join is obvious, but I've never done Intarsia, let alone Intarsia in the round.

No ends at all. It is to do with the way you wrap the yarn at the back.
The ends you see here are the ones for a normal colour change and they are knitted in add i go, not sewn in later.
Fair Isle on the other hand...
