We were out yesterday and I have only just processed the pictures from my big camera.
We have a yellow brested robin. We'd literally just stepped out of the car. That's one of the car park signs it's on, when it flew across in front of me and sat with its back to me. It stayed put whilst I walked around it to see its front...
This is a crested shriketit. It took a while to get a decent photo of it. I had been attacked to it by the nose of bark being pulled off the tree.
This is something called a bandicoot. It's a nocturnal marsupial. It actually came that close to me that my camera lens could not focus on it. They're not common and usually we've only seen their backside disappearing into the undergrowth.
These need no introduction (or at least I hope they need no introduction. ). They're the welcome swallow over here and that chick was not impressed!
