We had a visitor today. It's only the 3rd snake we've actually seen at our house or on the garden so a bit of a rarity from that point of view, but tagging up on them, they're good swimmers and easy frogs and amphibians and if you could here the racket outside at the moment you'd understand why it's here.

It was carefully moved on and the 2 idiotic chooks standing in striking range were also moved on with the end of a broom!

Its a tiger snake, Eastern tiger snake. Yep, very, very deadly. 40-60% mortality rate without anti-venom.

You know, MrsT has always wanted to go to Australia, and I’ve always refused, but recently, I’ve been softening on the subject and have been considering a trip there maybe in 2027 or 2028–

Nope. Not happening. Uh-uh. Never mind. Fuggidaboutit. No way. I’ll go to hell before I go to Australia, it’s less dangerous.

Australia is already on my list of places to never visit, but not because of the snakes. Snakes don’t bother me, they’re fine.

I can’t do Australia because of the spiders. Absolutely no chance I’m ever going there - spiders have absolutely no business being that size!

Pint o Foster's, mate?
Fully metric over here... it's a half or full litre... and after that you won't worry about the snakes or spiders or anything else....

Personally it's the sharks I worry about more.

Oh, and Tiger snake swim really well.
