Garlic bread home made

We had totally forgotten about this dip for garlic bread until we went to dinner last night. It used to.be a favorite and neither of us remembers why we stopped making it. You make a mix of equal parts dried basil and oregano, a pinch or 2 or more depending on your tolerance of red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and finely minced garlic. Mix all together and dry saute just enough so the spices bloom and the garlic isn't totally raw. Place in a shallow bowl and pour in extra virgin olive oil. Slice some crusty rustic bread and dip into mixture. I didn't think to take a picture until we had already been dipping so it's a bit messy

Just plain garlic butter the way I did it. I've got 5 grandkids and they all love it. They line up for it. We have to limit it to them or they won't eat their dinner.
