Scottish Spurtle(s). Your take?

Seeing ads on TV for the Spurtle.
They make them look like we can’t live with out them.

Anyone use them?

I have the curved blade version - for specific tasks they are extremely useful / convenient / effective.

they are not the as seen on to do all be all - for openers - I don't dip 'dirty' implements in my mayo jar....
spreading peanut butter? seriously not - you'd wind up with more PB stuck to the wood than the bread.
mixing up a 14" bowl of garden salad - great.
blending large qty of loose ingredients in large bowl - much better/easier than a big spoon...
