It’s not quite September yet, but it looks like the August thread is gone. It’s 6:28 pm off the coast of Alaska, but later ant GMT, so here we go. We paid a small fortune to get the premium dinner tonight on the ship at. So:

I started with a lobster cake:

Had surf and turf for dinner…7 ounces each of perfectly cooked fillet mignon and lobster tail:

…with a smashed potato with beef marrow:

And ended with a triple brownie thingey:

Nothing fancy tonight and I forgot to photo it, just protein pasta made from chickpeas, a store bought tomato & garlic pasta sauce (apparently serves 4, not that my OH read that bit) and some "mock roast duck"... all of that still came in at over 400kcals despite only having less than half a portion of the pasta. :o_o:

DH wasn't hungry so I went freezer-diving for myself and came up with frozen Crab Cake and added some veg and Honey Mustard for dippin ... not bad! Made the cake in the Air Fryer and it came out beautifully crispy and moist. I'll look for those again!

Aside from the constant eating that happens on cruise ships, we had another major meal, and this time at an Italian restaurant onboard.

We started with arancini:
