Finally... my favourite flower in the whole world in my window box. Every year I plant them and every year (bar one glorious year) they fail to grow. Each flower lasts just a day. This is Morning Glory (Ipomoea) Heavenly Blue.

Our plans fell through with our guests, but I still took my boy for a hike today. 8 miles or so, I'm guessing with a 2K foot vertical around the lake by my house.

The trail hasn't been maintained much. This was one of the more clear paths.

We forded a dozen tiny streams

Climbed a few rocks

An hung out with some fun guys

We found a glowing white mushroom, but was afraid to eat it or else I figured we might see Yorky inside a corona on the astral plane.

A friend's dog called 'Yow'. He spent the first 15 months of his life permanently chained up and miserable. But my friend found him 3 months ago and rescued him. Now he's a fun-loving happy dog ….not only that, he's now got a photo of himself on Cooking Bites - Yow !
