Camembert (, also UK: , US: , French: [kamɑ̃bɛʁ] (listen)) is a moist, soft, creamy, surface-ripened cow's milk cheese. It was first made in the late 18th century at Camembert, Normandy, in northern France.
So this took some finding. It is a recipe we used to make before I became allergic to a dairy protein. After that we stopped making it because the camembert was key to the recipe. Advance a decade and vegan camembert is now on the market and pretty good. You'll need to find one with that...
