tiramisù
Tiramisu (from the Italian language, spelled tiramisù [ˌtiramiˈsu], meaning "pick me up" or "cheer me up") is a coffee-flavoured Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers (savoiardi) dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa. The recipe has been adapted into many varieties of cakes and other desserts. Its origins are often disputed among Italian regions Friuli-Venezia Giulia for which there is an official recognition, and Veneto.
I call it 'improvised ' because I don't want to offend any Italians as my recipe can hardly be considered authentic. It is however very convenient, and a tasty way to eat summer fruit.
Ingredients for 4 persons:
250 g of ricotta
250 g of raspberries
175 g of lady fingers
100 g of caster sugar...
I came up with this recipe because I was looking for a lighter alternative to the very fatty mascarpone filling. The result is a fresh dessert, easy to prepare and even easier to eat.
