here, that's unbelievable, most cafes and restaurants have taken them off their menu. The price made the news today. Apparently Chinese sales put prices up. There are actually people raiding orchards and stealing them. The minimum wage here is around $17 an hour so,that's how to compare it. I'm not overly big on them but my grandkids love them.

Blimey! Thats about £6 each in sterling or $7.80 US dollars each. There'd be an outcry here I think as they are very popular indeed (although not particularly with me).

Wow. People would go nuts here in avocado land. The price has been creeping up, though. I heard tomatoes will go way up in price. Something to do with Mexico? Not sure. They're already high.

It's the price here. I believe it's the Chinese buying huge amounts of our fruit. And paying premium prices. They are normally around 2 to $3 ea.

Wow. Yes, around here they are usually $2, usually less, apiece. I still haven't done a real grocery run since last I typed... the Mom and Pop grocery doesn't carry them to begin with.
