Here in the US, Super Bowl Sunday is this coming Sunday!!!
:woot:
This is a day where we come together with family & friends to watch a sporting event, the last "American Football" game of the season.
This game is for "all the marbles" - the winning team will be this years Football Champions.

There's usually all kinds of dishes available to munch on before, during and after the game.
For me at least, the finger foods are the most appealing!
😋

Here's an ole' faithful/crowd favorite recipe that is made often for these gatherings, and is gone quickly!

Bacon Wrapped Lil Smokies

Ingredients:
14 slices streaky Bacon
1 (14-oz.) package Lil Smokies® (mini smoked Hot Dogs/Cocktail Sausages)
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
2 tablespoons Honey
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
42 wooden Toothpicks

Method:

Preheat oven to 400°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut each piece of bacon into thirds.
Wrap each of the Sausages in a piece of Bacon.
Insert a toothpick all the way through each one to hold the Bacon in place.
Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
In a bowl, stir together Brown Sugar, Honey, and Garlic Powder.
Top each of the Lil Smokies® with 1/4 teaspoon of the Sugar mixture.
Bake until Bacon is cooked through, 25 to 30 minutes.

Serving Suggestion:
Pile the Bacon wrapped Sausages high on a platter with assorted sauces for dipping - BBQ Sauce, Honey Mustard, Thai Chili Sauce or straight up Tomato Ketchup.

*Cook's Note: I ran out of toothpicks making this round, so some are pick-less, they did fine.

Can’t find smokies around here lately. :(
I was just at Kroger today, and they had a big refrigerated floor case full of them. So strange how some of these shortages are so regional.
