Best Burger You've Ever had?

Where was the best burger you've ever had? Or, what's your favorite type of Burger. I recently discovered chain in Southern California called G Burger. You can see the burgers being made, kind of like Subway sandwich style. They were very fresh and meaty, and the buns were awesome too! As far as i know there are two locations. One in Orange County and one in West Hollywood. Anyway, these burgers were definitely the bomb!:thumbsup:
 
I only know the ground-beef-with-some-sort-of-breadcrumbs type. While I like making my own family recipe and it turns out all right, I quite like these Brother's Burger burger buns where the filling is basically more of a steak than an actual burger. On the other hand, there's this place near mine which is rather pricey and the burgers don't taste too meaty but manage to be very juicy and the portions are huge. I think I mostly like it though for all the extra toppings they can put in...which I could actually do myself if I put my mind to it, but usually when I'm in a burger-and-shake mood I don't want to have to think I just want to chow down.
 
I really can't say. There is this American style burger restaurant / bar in the south of France. Can't remember the name but I used to go there quite often when I lived down there. Excellent burgers... but best I've ever had? Maybe.

Nowadays I mostly make my own ones. It's easy, fast and you can have exactly what you want and you know that all the products used are good quality ones.
 
My favorite burger restaraunt is the 50 cent burger place in Lexington KY. There burgers are absolutely the best! Nothing better then a loaded burger.

My favorite type of burger is Chicken burger because I dont eat beef that often only on some occasions. And for me it is healthier to eat especially when served with fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, mayo, mustard and ketchup and I really love this combination.
 
Classic33, That burger looks both amazing, and frightening. I wouldn't know what to do with that thing if I was presented with it at a restaurant. I wonder if it would be comfortable to sit on. :thumbsdown:

This place sounds interesting. I would like to see France's take on what an American style burger would be.:)
 
I only know the usual types, huhu. Though the best hamburgers for me are the homemade ones from ground beef in round buns that we usually experiment with syrup and other kinds of sauces, haha. Those were some of the family's best bonding times - we kind of get to "make your own burger" when my mom buys the ingredients in the supermarket and we all get to say the kind of "sauces" we want.

That's the catch, though. The rules of "make your own burger" in our place means you can only use the sauce you explicitly said for the burgers you're making, HAHA, so you kind of have to say everything so you could try everything, too, HAHA.
 
There's a chain out here in Southern California called In and Out that serves amazing burgers. My second favorite burger joint next to the recently discovered G burger that I started this thread with. The thing that's cool about In and Out is you can get a burger wrapped in Lettuce instead of a bun. Lowers the carb intake, and i think makes the burger taste better too!
 
Iron Chef Michael Symon's restaurant, The B-Spot makes the best burgers I've ever had to date. They not only taste fantastic, but they are made just the right size so they are actually edible as a burger, and you don't need a fork and a knife to eat them. Some of these fancier restaurants make their burgers so huge or stacked so tall with toppings that they are a mess to try and eat. They are also cooked perfectly to temperature. I don't know how they do it so consistently, but I have never seen a burger being sent back any of the times I have ever been there.

Aside from that, for some strange reason I used to love the burgers they sold at one of our local bowling allies. It was just a cheap thin patty, but there was something about the smell of it and watching the cook make it right in front of us on the griddle behind the bar that was so cool.

Another favorite would be A&W's "Mozza Burger" which was bacon, mozzarella cheese and thousand island dressing, with lettuce and tomato.
 
My best burger is from a burger place called Burger Project. The concept is that, you will make your own burger. You will be given a checklist of the ingredients that you want to have in your burger. :)

I live in Southern California, but have never eaten at G Burger. I have never even heard of it. :(

The best burger I have eaten was at a small restaurant chain in the San Francisco Bay Area. It's called Nations. Everything is made fresh to order. They use a special house salad dressing on their burgers. The lettuce is so fresh it crunches. The tomatoes are thick and juicy. Nations is known for their pies too. All of their food is delicious.

I forgot.... I once had a quesadilla burger at Applebee's in Las Vegas a few years back. I think it trumps Nations. It was so delicious. I tried to duplicate it, but couldn't get it right.
 
We have a local restaurant here that recently opened up and has many variations similar to what you'd see on American food shows or burger specials. Some are very elaborate and some are even very experimental, containing ingredients like peanut butter. I wouldn't consider it the best, for me personally, because I have a few other favorites that are a lot simpler. My favorite type is just one that has coleslaw and barbecue sauce.
