Is this something you have made before?

Truffles are rather pricey, is that something you already had on hand? Also was curious about the cooking time on the duck breast? It's hard to tell from the pics, but I am guessing with 30-40 minutes it may have been cooked well-done?

I have never made this before.

I had the truffles on hand and was not finding any use for them, until now.

Cooking time was not up to 40 minutes, but around 30 minutes. When I sliced the duck breast, it had puffed up and it gave off a reddish juice, which made me wonder if I cooked it long enough. But it turned out great. I recommend baking on the top rack to get it to brown more.

This meal was a collage of flavors and textures that was truly a good culinary experience. The radicchio was only butter fried, but the veggies simmered after steaming in soy and spices. Chopped walnuts gave things an extra texture element that was surprising. The duck breast included the spices, but no soy, just a butter coating and ultimately, the blackberry sauce which gave the whole meal a really game theme and flavor.
