I had a favorite pot I oopsed like that on and ended up taking it to a metal shop and had them bead blast it. Came out like new.

No. Bead blasting uses glass beads as opposed to sand. Sand is actually quite sharp so sand blasting or bead blasting depends on the material to be blasted.Is bead blasting the same as sand blasting?

I’ll admit…I wouldn’t worry too much about it. None of my pots and pans have pristine bottoms.
Doesn't affect its functionalityLooks like whatever he decides to do, it'll take some time!!!!But it can be done. He'll have to take the pot out out of commission until he can get it done.
