I had a favorite pot I oopsed like that on and ended up taking it to a metal shop and had them bead blast it. Came out like new. 
Burned my bottom. Can it be saved?

No. Bead blasting uses glass beads as opposed to sand. Sand is actually quite sharp so sand blasting or bead blasting depends on the material to be blasted.

$20 is not bad to pay for a pot to be cleaned. It can save you all of the back-breaking work, time & aggravation.

Just about any metal fabrication shop.i wouldn't even know where one is, if it were around here.
Well, nor did this one until then, but I was just concerned all that black carbon may burn more when cooking and smell the place out.
Update: I stood the pot in a strong, hot baking soda solution for about an hour then took to it with some steel wool, The worst of it came off but there's still some black coloration on the bottom and around the base rim, but it's good enough for me.
Doesn't affect its functionality
