Cheese rolls

These are a south island thing. Mainly a fundraiser. Sold by the dozen.
Supposedly originated in Southland???
As far as I know the mixture is cheese and onion soup (dry mix) and maybe something else.???
My son's kids did a fundraiser and sold something like 1000 x 12 packs.
It's very profitable. We have 3 dozen in freezer .
These are very moorish.
Under the grill/ broiler.

Similar to Welsh rarebit in some ways. Here is what Wiki says:
