I have some chicken drumsticks defrosted in the refrigerator that I plan to cook later today. I don't want to fry them, nor do I want to use a heavy coating, since I just fried up a mess of eggplant the other day and have been eating on that. I want a more pure recipe, so I can taste the chicken, rather than fried breading/coating.

I looked around online and found this set of recipes. Woman's Day usually has good tips on various subjects, and this collection of chicken drumstick recipes seems to be no exception. There are several I'm considering, but I haven't settled on one yet. I'll do that later, after I take stock of my pantry and refrigerator, and know what else I have to use with the chicken. Which of these recipes is your favorite? The roast chicken (1) and the chicken osso buco (3) look particularly appetizing to me right now. http://www.womansday.com/food-recipes/food-drinks/g1607/10-chicken-drumstick-recipes-78356/?

One of my goto recipe's for chicken in general is herb and parmasan roasted chicken with potatos. It sounds fancy but I simply season my chicken with my choice of herbs and spices, roll it in an egg then a light coating of parm mixed with breadcrumbs. Roast along side some preboiled smashed potatoes for a crispy but fluffy potato!

On other days, I've been known to just cook these on the grill so that I can enjoy a smokey texture as well or just skip the cheese and add BBQ sauce all together.

If you want to try something different and you like curry Jamie Oliver has a great chicken drumstick recipe. It has chick peas, ginger, garlic, curry, cilantro, and yellow peppers. It's so full of flavour. The first time I made this dish my family couldn't believe how delicious it was. It's pretty easy to make. It's a great dish on a cold winters night.. Here's the recipe.

The Memphis dry rub sounds super. I haven't bought chicken drumsticks in a very long time. OUr local store always has bags of chicken legs on special, and they are dirt cheap. Last time I bought a 10 pound bag for 3.90 ! I figure I will have bbq chicken all summer. I am sure whatever recipe you pick will be good!

I agree about the Memphis dry rub. No one in my household likes chicken legs except maybe my mother-in-law. So I usually have to eat them to get rid of them. I like preparing mine with some soy sauce, barbecue sauce, herbs and spices and sticking it in the oven.

I was going to post several recipes here but seems this is an old post. I will share one anyway.
