Chocolate Dessert Fondue
Makes 4 servings (but we eat all of it and it's just 2 of us)
NOTE: I make this in our mini Crockpot Little Dipper, which is more of a warming vessel, as it has no temperature control. You can do this on the stovetop (or even the microwave) if you adjust accordingly. All directions are giving using the mini Crockpot.
Ingredients
1 tsp butter
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/3 cup whipping cream
6 oz chocolate with nuts (about 4 standard-sized Hershey-type bars with almonds), or any chocolate you prefer, really
2 TB milk
Directions
Rub the butter on the inside of the mini Crockpot insert. Toss in the chocolate (break into pieces if using standard-sized Hershey-type bars), marshmallows, and milk, then cover and heat, stirring every 15 minutes or so, until it's melted and smooth. Slowly pour in the whipping cream, then cover and continue to heat for another 30 minutes or so. Serve with strawberries, bananas, cubes of pound cake, apples, large marshmallows, graham crackers, etc.
