Ooh, I just remembered I've got an ancient cookbook (well, 1990) written by Rose Elliott. There are 4 cold soups there: chilled raspberry soup; iced beetroot with dill;chilled avocado; chilled two-colour soup. Plus a couple of variations.

I can work with both.

When is too hot to cook indoors, I can cook on the verandah providing they haven't got a total fire ban in place including gas BBQs at home as well. Most homes have dedicated areas where there is a concrete slab to reduce the fire risk.
