When cooking Quinoa do you add boiling water to the Quinoa or add cold water and bring it to the boil? Or perhaps it doesn't matter.

It is a lot like cooking rice. In fact, you can use a rice cooker, if you have one.

Be sure to thoroughly rinse the quinoa in a fine mesh strainer. Very important.

Then, put your cold water and quinoa in a sauce pan, bring it up to a boil, and then turn down for a light simmer.

Use the quantities and cook times on the quinoa package.

Do you stir it whilst its cooking? Do you add herbs and spices at the beginning or end of the cooking process?

Don't stir while cooking. Fluff the quinoa with a fork when it is fully cooked. I've never added herbs to mine, but you could put them in at the beginning to slowly infuse the herb flavors into the quinoa.. Most spices can be added at the beginning, or at the end, IMO.

If you are going to add anything like butter, wait until after fully cooked.

If you can cooke rice, you can cook quinoa. You cook them pretty much the same way.
