Cucumbers

I love white pepper and I think it has a rightful place in a cucumber sandwich. It has a certain lemony prickling taste which works very well with cool cucumber.

I agree. Her homework is exemplary. But she isn't really a cook at all. I discovered this when I bought this book: one big yawn...

Yes

Yes

She does the homework though, which I find useful.
Yes to all of that.
I bought her breakfast book and it became clear she’s more of a journo than a cook.
I’ve not made a single thing from that cook book!

Love her or hate her she does her homework and always gives some great references for other quality chefs take on things.
I don’t like Nigella Lawson or my accountant or financial planner but I still listen to what they have to say 😂
I don’t get on with anyone who walks around telling the world their version is “the best” or “perfect,” and her superior attitude on top of it makes her unbearable to me. She needs to do a little homework on humility, IMO.

So you’re on the fence on this one?

I read her articles for research. I take little notice of her decision on what's perfect. I often disagree with her verdict. Its the research that is interesting - saves me doing it!

I tried the Carosello cucumber. I had low expectations and at £2.55 a cuke I hoped not to like it too much.
It felt like it had thick skin but it doesn’t, it’s very thin.

Mr SSOAP and I really, really like it. It taste like.. urr cucumber 😂
But it’s a firm, with a low water content and very crunchy cucumber.
