Do you sing in the kitchen?

When you’re working in the kitchen, do you “whistle while you work,” so to speak?

I certainly do, and it’s usually making up lyrics that have to do with what I’m putting together set to a familiar tune.

Tonight, for example, I made a salad, so without thinking, the song “Sugar Sugar” popped into my head, so I started singing:

“Salad… do do doot doot do do
Makin’ salad… do do doot doot dooooo
Usin’ lotsa cheeeese…
But it’s diet cheeeese… oh oh
Pour a little dressing on it baby!
Pour a little dressing on it honey!
I’m gonna make your plate creamy!”

Sometimes MrsT laughs, sometimes she tells me to shut the hell up.

What about everyone else? Do you get your song on when you’re cooking?

I don't believe it's actually possible to cook without singing or at least listening to music in the kitchen. At least not in my house. Music is ALWAYS on!

I listen to music while cooking. Classical music; Vivaldi, Corelli, Mozart, Beethoven being my favourites.
No singing, even though I could; it's never occurred to me.

Nope, I don’t sing while cooking, just a few notes sometimes but I prefer the silence. Anyway I don’t mind a bit of background music playing at a low volume
