Easter 2026

I think you don't do chocolate Easter eggs in the USA?
Do you mean chocolates shaped like eggs, or something else? If it’s the former, we certainly do, and in a big way. I can’t walk through the shops right now without stepping around little chocolate eggs, Cadbury cream eggs, hollow chocolate eggs as big as my head…they’re everywhere!

Oh! Yes I mean the big hollow eggs.

I have chocolate Easter eggs. Not for me but as gifts for the kids,

I think you don't do chocolate Easter eggs in the USA? How about in Australia, SatNavSaysStraightOn?
I could hardly navigate around the stacks of them in the supermarket yesterday. I was seriously glad not to be in the wheelchair. It would have been impossible. Every free space was stacked high with them. You could easily have been standing next to someone in a wheelchair, or a kid, and not seen them on the other side of the towers of eggs.

Easter eggs are big here too, as are chocolate easter bunnies and chocolate chickens sitting on nests of chocolate eggs.

Personally I prefer Easter sweet breads to the chocolate fare, we have a kind of Stollen with orange zest & marzipan filling that I really like to eat at Easter. Also Babka or Sugar bread ( a Northern Dutch bread made with pearl sugar and cinnamon swirls) are also popular Easter treats.

I have arranged an afternoon tea for me and my husband on Easter sunday, scones will be provided so I'm looking forward to it!
