Favourite dish beginning with..

For J it has got to be:
  • Jugged Hare: Hare slowly cooked in wine and spices, and historically it's blood
  • Jellied-Eels: traditional East London dish. Tubby Issacs the famous jellies eel stall outside Aldgate East station closed in 2013 :(So Long, Tubby Isaac’s Jellied Eel Stall | Spitalfields Life
  • Jam Doughnuts as opposed to Iced Doughnuts
  • John Dory with Beer, Bacon & Lettuce: the fish is also known as St. Peter's fish.

Kapucijners with pork chop. I like the fresh ones (they are a bit like garden peas but nicer) and the dried or canned ones (they are a bit like brown beans)

And to make it easy on myself, I stay multi lingual in my food choices :)

Kool (cabbage), fried with onions, garlic, chili etc
Krentebol (bread roll with currants)

I'm sure I will think of some more later on. Maybe even in English :D
