So I bought a waffle Iron, and really wanted to try it out. And there's a flour challenge going on, so I figured this was the perfect time to make use of my waffle Iron. It's low in WW points for those who are interested, 5 points a piece ( without toppings). I mean 1 heart with a piece! Not five..
With fresh raspberries and powdered sugar.
Extravaganza with whipped cream, white chocolate chips and strawberries.
Ingredients for the waffles:
380 g self raising flour
380 ml milk ( I used half milk, half almond milk)
1 whole egg
75 g caster sugar
6 tsps neutral oil
1 tbsp pumpkin spice mix
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Needed as well:
Waffle Iron
Baking spray
Soup ladle
1) Mix the dry Ingredients in a large bowl.
2) Preheat & spray your waffle iron
3) Mix wet Ingredients through gently by hand.
4) When you have a shiny batter, pour about 1 1/2 soup ladle on your Iron, or as much as it needs.
5) Bake the waffles for about 7 minutes or as long as your Iron needs.
6) Eat all of them, they're best fresh! But can also be kept for 3 days in the fridge. Then reheat them in the air fryer to crisp them up.
7) Serve with whipped cream, fruit and chocolate. Or whichever topping you like.
Makes 25 small waffles, or 5 big ones.
