Once when I had made banana bread and Craig decided to make bananas Foster, he decided to toast some of the bread, scoop of vanilla ice cream, then bananas Foster on top.

Did you know bananas Foster was created and named for a customer at Brennan's in NOLA?

I have a frozen molded dessert recipe from an old family friend that uses sour cream, sugar, crushed pineapple, ripe mashed bananas, maraschino cherries and pecans. The sweetness is cut by the sour cream tang so it's not too sweet.

Apparently, mashed up banana in milk is in some places considered a treat for kids. I never knew that.

Several years ago, I saw a product at our local Kroger (I think it was called Monkey Milk), with the carton festooned with cartoon chimps and bananas and all that.

Well, I thought banana-flavored milk meant it was milk full of that fake banana flavor, like you find in banana taffy - that stuff I love, so I bought a carton, brought it home, and immediately poured.

Tasted like monkey 💩, if you ask me, and that stuff went right into the trash. 🤮

Yeah I draw the line at banana artificially flavored anything. I can't stand that banana taffy or any banana candies much.

I love that stuff! That was the problem with that stupid milk - it had actual mashed-up bananas in it. Disgusting.

FTR, I also love fake strawberry flavor, like that strawberry Nesquik stuff.

You and my brother closest to me in age would get along famously! He's actually my favorite brother. He's super smart and a bit nerdy, which is very cool when one is over a certain age.
