I really enjoy the flavor of prepared Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix, but one of the things that kind of annoys me with it is fillers they put in to help with the emulsion (Xanthan Gum, Maltodextrin, etc...). It gives the dressing an artificial slimy quality that detracts from it.

I've yet to find or come up with a home made recipe that tastes just like it, though, so I continue to use it.

I've used it on buffalo wings and chicken with success, and also recently noticed a recipe for chicken and vegetable soup that uses it too.

Anyone else a fan or do you hate the stuff?
