So, I know that some people have issues growing basil. I am definitely one of those. I can throw any other herb seed down and it will germinate and grow quite happily, but do the same with basil and it appears that nothing every happens.
I did fail at growing ransomes garlic (wild garlic) as well, but those seeds need to drop below a certain temperature for a long period. apparently 4 weeks in the fridge was not cold enough.
My squashes tend to struggle to get a decent size, but I have learnt to live with that. Smaller ones mean I just cook 1 meal with them and don't worry about needing to find another recipe to use the 3kg butternut squash that is left over.
So what do you struggle to grow that you want to and do you know why?
