Recipe Ham and Oregano Puff Pastry Twists

Makes about 8-10 puff pastry twists, Preparation time 5 mins, Cooking time 10 mins

  • 1 puff pastry sheet – possibly rectangular shape
  • Dried oregano, to taste
  • Cured Ham Slices, 2 or 3
  • 1 egg, beaten


Method

Pre-heat the oven to 180 C, Gas Mark 4, F 350

Prick the bottom of puff pastry with a fork so it won’t swollen too much during cooking.

Sprinkle the bottom with dried oregano, add ham slices, then close puff pastry again.

Cut out equal lenght size strips, width into 2 cm (¾ inch).

Take each strip and twist it.

Place the breadsticks that are spaced apart on a parchment paper lined baking tray and brush them lightly with beaten egg, sprinkle again with dried oregano.

Bake to 180 C for 10 minutes or until golden. Cool on a wire rack.
