Hot Cocoa for One
Makes 1 mug (but you already knew that, didn’t you?
)
Ingredients
2 TB unsweetened cocoa powder
1 to 2 TB sugar (depends on your sweet tooth)
Pinch of salt
1 cup milk or any combination of milk, half-and-half, or cream (I use half-and-half)
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Put the cocoa, sugar, salt, and about 2 tablespoons of the milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and whisk it until the cocoa and sugar dissolve. Whisk in the remaining milk and heat it over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it is hot. Stir in the vanilla and serve.
