How do you cook your bacon?

My grandmother kept coffee cans after using up the coffee in it to store her bacon lard. She used it frequently in her cooking. I remember she would cook the bacon for breakfast, pour most of it in the coffee can, and then use the grease left in the pan to fry the eggs. She would spoon the hot grease over the top of the eggs while cooking, and then we had pieces of white bread toast with plenty of real butter slathered on them to dip into the yolks.

Oh, and she lived to be in her late 80s because of that heart healthy diet!!! Granted, she grew a vegetable garden out back and composted everything. That was some rich soil and she ate lots of veggies.

That's what I did this morning.
