I got the original recipe from Seriouseats.com and it only had shrimp, I decided to add the fish. I also replaced curry leaves for zest of 1 lime since I couldn't find curry leaves.

- 1 cup shrimps without skins
- 3/4 pieces hake fish
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, divided
- 1 (around 5 cms) piece ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon coconut or olive oil
- 3 cloves
- 3 cardamom pods
- 1 cinamon stick
- 1/2 tablespoon grated garlic
- 1 medium size onion thinly sliced
- 3 green chilies slit lenghtwise
- 10 curry leaves or zest of 1 lime
- 1 can coconut milk (separate the thick part from the water)
- salt to taste
- 1 large tomato thinly sliced

1. Toss shrimp in a small bowl with 1/2 teaspoon turmeric , 1/2 teaspoon ginger and the ground red pepper. Let it rest 15 minutes.
2. Heat oil. Add cloves, cardamom, cinamon and stir for 1 minute. Add the rest of ginger, garlic, onion and chili and stir about 5 minutes. Add curry leaves/zest f 1 lime and stir for 30 seconds. Add remaining turmeric, stir, add the thin water of the coconut milk can and the salt. Add tomato and bring to a gentle boil. (I added all spices at once, stirred for a couple of minutes until fragrant, then I added thin coconut milk and tomato).
3. Add hake fish and let it cook 10 minutes. Add marinated shrimp and cook 5 minutes. Add the thick coconut part of the coconut milk and let it boil 1 minute.
