I had these large hot dogs on the grill when it hit me - I used ketchup in the marinade. So, an unplanned entry in the Ketchup challenge.
George wanted hot dogs. He tasted an all-beef Kirkland brand on his last trip to Costco. I picked up a package of 1/4 lb. Dinner Dogs. Three were more than enough for the two of us with a salad and Checker's fries.
INGREDIENTS
3 - 1/4 LB. dinner dogs
1/4 cup ketchup
1 Tsp. micro planed fresh garlic.
1 Tsp. aged Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tsp. English Mustard
1/2 Tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
METHOD
Cut shallow slits about 1/2" apart along one side of the dogs. Put them in a zip bag. Whisk together remaining ingredients, add to dogs and squeeze around to fully coat. Refrigerate 15 to 30 minutes.
Cook on a hot grill until heated through and you have nice grill marks.
