Kitchen items you love.

Not sure I actually love anything in terms of kitchen items. In my world, favourite kitchen items are simply things I find really useful and easy to use - such as a good sharp knife, microplanes, stick blender, a non stick flat bottomed wok shaped pan etc.

I think the love occurs for me when I use something and it’s well designed and manufactured.
It also helps if I’ve put up with something rubbish before.
Like the garlic crusher I put up with for many years before finally buying a good one, now I love my new garlic crusher.
Or the recent switch to microplane graters, I love them because my other grater is awful in comparison.

A fair bit of my kitchen "stuff" has a story behind them.
Where I got them or who gave it to me etc.
My Thai knives actually come from Thailand. I bought them during a holiday there.
My favourite pestle & mortar was my dad's etc

Ah yes I know exactly what you mean.
I have a skimmer that I bought when I was 19 on holiday in Devon. I’d never seen one before and it’s still in frequent use today.
When I was on the Isle of Man recently I saw some tiny spatula scrapers that look very useful, I know that whenever I use them I’ll be reminded of my first trip to the Isle of Man.

In some strange way the attachment makes an inanimate object your friend 😂
