I'd have a hard time narrowing it down. I'm more in the camp of "what can I do without" in my kitchen. There are too many things I love and use regularly.

I got the bigger kitchen and found a way to fill it over the years.Yeah, that's my camp.

I think the love occurs for me when I use something and it’s well designed and manufactured.Not sure I actually love anything in terms of kitchen items. In my world, favourite kitchen items are simply things I find really useful and easy to use - such as a good sharp knife, microplanes, stick blender, a non stick flat bottomed wok shaped pan etc.
Ah yes I know exactly what you mean.A fair bit of my kitchen "stuff" has a story behind them.
Where I got them or who gave it to me etc.
My Thai knives actually come from Thailand. I bought them during a holiday there.
My favourite pestle & mortar was my dad's etc
