Canning has nothing to do with these. They are for taking hot pans from the oven, Something that you would normally use a pot holder for.

What’s wrong with potholders?
Btw, my sister bought a lot of fancy cooking stuff, but for some reason she didn’t use them, she vowed to me she wouldn’t buy another kitchen stuff again.
But recently she said she went to Walgreens or Ralphs and got a rice cooker for $20, she couldn’t find a rice cooker in her garage, lol.

I prefer an oven glove....
More secure in my opinion but also much less strain on my wrist

Agreed. I only manage to melt the glove(s) when it bumps the upper element... No injuries!

That used to be the end results of bacon left in the fridge too long in the regular bags. I got so tired of that happening & began using my chamber vacuum sealer to stop that from happening. Air is the enemy of all foods!!!! When the bags are tightly sealed, no air can get in the bags. Ever!!!!! It's a small one, but it does the job & it helps to cut down on, or even stop food spoilage!!!!

My SIL in Texas has one of these and she gifted me her spare. I love it! I just push down with the sponge and the soap comes up through a tube and saturates the sponge. I looked, they are $10 at Walmart.
