I've been wanting to make Lahmajoun for ages, but haven't, because I don't have a meat grinder to grind the lamb three times, and haven't had the time and energy to make the lavash. Well, here's a recipe I just found that uses flour tortillas as a shortcut. Here's the short cut recipe: http://www.thearmeniankitchen.com/2009/07/hungry-for-lahmajoun-take-shortcut.html

I'll probably try this recipe, but I still want to make the lavash from scratch one of these days, and here's a recipe for that. http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/153167/lavash-cracker-bread/?mxt=t06rda

Here's a regular (non-shortcut) recipe for the Lahmajoun: https://wisekitchen.wordpress.com/2013/09/12/armenian-pizza-lahmajoun/

I've been wanting to make lavash myself. Several restaurants at work put it in their bread baskets, and one of the cooks will occasionally will wrap some up in a napkin and give it to my wine runner to give to me. It is so very good, but it is not made on property; it's provided by an outside vender so I can't ask for the recipe. I'm so glad you posted the link to one.

You're welcome, I hope the recipe is similar to the version you like. Back home, I could get pretty much anything I wanted, because there are so many ethnic bakeries and restaurants, but down here, if I want something 'exotic', I have to make it myself. I might try out the quick version on tortillas someday, but I've been wanting to make the lavash for quite a while, so hopefully one of these days, I'll get around to it.

My husband is a huge fan of lamb steaks or burgers - but I've never even thought of lamb pizza before! Sounds pretty yummy, even to me who isn't the biggest lamb fab out there!

I always like trying different countries cuisines so I appreciate you sharing the recipe with us!

I haven't had it in a long time, but remember it vividly, because it's so delicious. I've never had lamb steaks, just lamb chops, leg of lamb, and the Lahmajoun, but I love it all. I have very fond memories of watching it being made, and the aromas were amazing. I hope if you make it, you enjoy it.
