Methods for shredding cabbage

I once tried to chop cabbage with a mandolin but ended up cutting the tip off my little finger, since then I've always used a sharp knife.

Yep, that's me, I don't trust that darned mandoline so I just use a knife. Even though I rarely use cabbage for anything.

One of my 2 sharp knives gets the job done. Rustic or fine cut, I'm the man.

It depends upon what I'm using the cabbage for.
If it's my DH's family recipe for Coleslaw then I use the Food Processor.
Anything else, my chef's knife.
I like chunky vs shredded Cabbage.
