Hello,

i made a video with buns recipe + a French burger (with Camembert and homemade mayonnaise :D) in the same video.
If you dont want to try the burger, just look the buns part :okay:
I tried lot of recipes of buns and it's my favorite.

➡️List of ingredients :

Buns (for 5 big buns to 8 regular) :

- Milk 7.5cl / 2.3fl oz
- Water 20cl / 6.7fl oz
- Fresh yeast 15g / 0.5 oz
- Wheat flour 500g / 17.5 oz
- 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
- Salt 10g / 0.3 oz
- Sugar 25g / 0.9 oz
- Butter 30g / 1 oz

Burger (ingredients at your convenience) :

- Ground beef
- Camembert de Normandie
- Tomatoes
- Lettuce
- Fried onions
- Homemade mayonnaise
- Cooking oil

➡️ Tips :

The name “camembert” does not mean anything around the world.
Before buying a Camembert you must find 2 things written on it:

- "Camembert de Normandie"
- "Appellation d'origine protégée" or "AOP"

AOP mean "protected designation of origin"

The real and unique name of the Camembert is "Camembert de Normandie"
Normandie is a state of western France and it is only there that the real Camembert is made.
It is made with raw Normandie cow's milk and ancestral knowledge.
If you only buy "Camembert" it can be a pasteurized cheese that has nothing to do with it.
I think it's difficult and maybe expensive to find it outside of France, but it's definitely worth it, try it

➡️ Instruction for the Buns (refer to the list of ingredients for the quantities) :

- Mix milk and water and cook at 35°C / 95°F
- Put the liquid into a bowl and dilute the fresh yeast inside
- Add wheat flour and mix few minutes
- Add egg, salt, sugar and mix until homogeneity
- take the dough out of the bowl and put it on workplan
- Knead the dough for 7-8min
- Add 1/3 of butter and totally incorporate to the dough (the butter must totally disappear in dough, very important)
- Make the same for 2/3 and finally 3/3 of butter (you can add all the butter in one time but it's too long and difficult to incorporate)
- Cover (with tea towel or plastic film) and Let the dough rest at room temperature for 2 hours
- After that, Make portions of your dough (5 for big buns to 8 for regular), and make ball with it.
- Cover and let rest again at room temperature for 1h30
- Mix 1 egg yolk and a bit of milk
- recover your balls with the liquid and put it in hot oven for 15min at 200°C / 392°F.

Your buns are ready !
