That's a tricky one as breakfast is normally only eaten as brunch and basically similar to what I would eat for dinner
Definitely savoury. Gotta think about it proper as the only thing I can think of right now is a bloody mary after a good evening out

I'll also add, that good hotel breakfast buffets are the ultimate in early-in-the-day decadence, particularly if the price includes champagne.
I used to travel a lot internationally for work so stayed in a lot of great hotels on the company dime. I've eaten ridiculous combinations of things at 8 in the morning.

I remember a very good hotel breakfast in Thailand.
On the one side were the eggs, bacon and all. On the other side curries, noodles etc. The 2nd lot looked so much more exciting, so it was curry, rice etc for me

It has to be Eggs Benedict. A simple dish, but only a professional chef has the time and skills to pull off a really good one. I judge a decent hotel by their eggs benny. This is from The Siam in Bangkok.
Yep! A fab breakfast indeed. That looks like a soft boiled egg rather than the usual poached.
