Ordering Ingredients/Food Items Online

Did you look at all of the different stuff they have?
No, I went straight to the soy sauce. My bit will be 3 of those 24 oz. bottles and reorder when I open the last one. My vinegar needs don't really go past ACV and I'm over it with all those Asian style ones. Glazes I'll wing it. 🤞😜

I order the majority of my shopping online and go into the supermarket infrequently.
Although I realise that’s because this is a busy place and it’s an unwritten rule if you’re out and about and going into a shop you ask everyone if they need anything so I rarely need to go. It’s also an unwritten rule you can’t ask for more than one or two things, it’s not a privilege that you should take advantage of.

The stuff I order online (not from a supermarket) is usually much more expensive than the usual stuff. I’m a total sucker for a new or rare ingredient and will pay for that experience.
But I figure I don’t go out on the town, spend money on expensive activities (biking aside) and don’t have a wine habit or do anything else much that’s wasteful so why not?!

What about broom fuel??? 🤣

Just ordered online some mushroom powder, lactic acid and tapioca starch. That’s one of the great things about food shopping on the internet, all of those things are not easily obtainable here, but a few short clicks and it’s all on its way!

Whether it was worth ordering it remains to be seen though because vegan macaroni cheese that tastes good is a an elusive dish 😂

I've found mushroom powder at a discount store since it's rather pricey online. I bought most of their on hand stock.

Let me know what you think of the Aloha Brand Soy Sauce ... both DH & I don't care for any other brand now, which is why I carry those 'to-go' packets in my bag at all times.

now living in Cowboyville Arizona, there are many items that I CAN NOT get within 100+ miles of our home.
Same prob here, only we have to drive 50 -100 miles even get to a regular supermarket so I often stockpile when shopping and order a lot online.

Asian and European ingredients are particularly hard to find where we are.
