Review Peanut butter, how do you like yours?

I have some but prefer to mix it myself. I like a lot of Marmite.
Must be a Maidstone thing.
I saw a U Tube on marmite where the precious little presenter was saying : one DOES need to spread it very thin, because the umami flavour is quite pronounced"
and I shouted at my phone : Naff off, mate! I spread mine with a shovel!!
Shouting at phones, hmmm, must be getting old

I handle product recalls and there was a US brand about 10-15 years ago that had salmonella contamination, and I had to find and destroy thousands upon thousands jars of peanut butter when it occurred. Definitely turned me off the stuff, although I wasn't eating it often before that. When I grew up it was a staple in our house, and if someone didn't like what was for dinner, they could make themselves a peanut butter sandwich. It's just the last on a list of things I would eat.
How do you destroy peanut butter?

The cheaper food products are often the house brand. Since we know the "house" doesn't manufacture anything, then some company whose brand we would recognize made it. I buy the house brand whenever it is offered. Same with peanut butter.

Crunchy pb here. With home made raspberry jam or in my satay sauce .
We use loads of it. Recently I noted same label BUT now made in Australia.
Same taste though.

As I'm averse to spending $7 on a jar of peanut butter, I get the store brand, but it works out because the store brand is the one that doesn't use palm oil which I discovered was the thing in (modern) peanut butter that was making me sick.

I also sometimes like making a sandwich and sticking it in the microwave.

I remember getting my first jar of natural peanut butter. I stirred and stirred and stirred and (like was mentioned) it never firmed up. I did eventually find pre-stirred natural peanut butter, though, which is already the consistency it should be.
