Plans for today (2023)

My plans are to go back to bed after I've nebulised. I exhausted myself coming yesterday, so bed is the best place for me this morning. I'll have a quiet afternoon knitting on front of the TV.

I've washed and hung out towels. Cruisy day until 3. Appointment to get tyre fitted. Pre ordered last week. Then get final warrant for next 12 months.
I need to sort out tea??

Kings day today ( the Kings birthday is a national holiday). We're not celebrating the King ( we aren't monarchists) but we are having an afternoon tea with friends because nobody has to work.
Likely the teahouse will have included something orange today, as that's our monarchy's colour.

Other plans will probably be visiting the free market ( a sale where Dutch people sell their second hanf goods, traditional on Kings day) and playing boardgames with our friends.

Nothing exciting - work (from home), run into town for a few things, maybe mow some of the yard this afternoon. Probably buy a couple more bags of mulch. Slowly but surely, getting that done.

Making salad tonight (though it’s a citrusy one this time around).

I just finished watching the first round of the NFL draft. My Steelers got Broderick Jones, and Offensive Tackle (protects the quarterback and creates openings for running backs). He's a monster at 6'5" and 315 pounds. I am a happy fan right now.

• Visit pain specialist (hospital)

Well I made it home safely and smoothly last night. Working today and the weekend too. Lying in bed listening to the rain right now.

Finally got the car back after 10 days. New brakes, cleaned petrol pump, cleaned fuel tank, new engine, paint job... now I just hope the wheels don't fall off.
Two days in the garden has taken its toll so I'm stiff all over. Today I'll spend cooking - I've got a couple of projects I want to complete for future dinners/courses.
