Plans for today (2025)

Overall feeling rough as a badger, so rest day.
Had neck twinges and shoulder pain and lower back pain last night after the tussle with cupboard / shelving / junk (the shoulder has some arthritis in it).
My shoulder and neck are almost ok today, but lower back is still very tender. I'm going to assume the back is down to my lifelong dodgy back (mishap in the school gym).

I'm out of cake atm (oh noes!), and not tested my new pancake/waffle maker, so I may do a batch of pancakes later.

You're going to be busy
Baking bread
Making empanadas
Making rendang
And I'm sure I missed some other items you bookmarked :)
That list keeps me busy but certainly not all in one day! I spread it out over the week. Grass is cut so the only thing left for today, at least until I get distracted again, is to make some of the flatbread like you mentioned. Haven't done that in years...

I have to say, I always like how you are up to a challenge and try new things or new ways to do the same old ;)
No sense in being bored heh?

So...

It's 36 degrees outside and who knows what temp in the sun so I'm planning to lounge around close to the aircon nurturing my hangover.

Nice place we're staying in but it does annoy me when rental places claim to have certain features and then don't.
The 'pool' is an empty jacuzzi 🙄 and the washing machine (which is the reason I wanted this place) is locked in a cobbled together outhouse attached to the kitchen with no access.
I can see the machine out of the kitchen window but the outside door is firmly locked.

But I can get to it by climbing over the worktop, going through the window and down over the machine on the other side.

Just as well I've been standing in for Spiderman recently while he had some downtime 🕸️

I am trying to wrap my head around the idea of climbing anywhere except onto the couch or bed when I have a hangover.

The place looks pretty nice otherwise, but yeah, a cool pool would have been nice, and the washing machine a necessity.

Having only two sets of clothes to wear in the blazing sun for a week is motivation enough to climb that stinky mountain

I also realised I've made wardrobe errors this trip when the washing required three different loads due to needing a normal mixed load, a whites only load with oxy stain remover to get suncreen stains out of white vests and then a wool/silk wash for the socks n pants.
So yer far too much sore head mountain climbing for me today!

Yeah, I'd go shopping if at all possible.

I'd likely be handwashing some items in the sink rather than climbing over the pile...

Nah, one load and double the Tide...
