Most peeps 'sort of' heave when you say anything about pickled meat... Me, can't live w/out it.

Mmmmmmm… 🤤

Mom would buy pickled pigs feet occasionally. And Limburger cheese (warm and runny, spread on thin, dark brown multigrain bread, sometimes with a thin slice of raw onion).

It was this brand bread only the dark brown/black bread. That bread was so good. I haven’t been able to find it in a very long time.

It was a cheap meat we had growing up. Comfortable food for me and my family.
It's quite expensive now that 3.3 kg piece cost me $75. We have it as a trest xmas day. Served with lashings of apple sauce.

I'm not fond of pickled anything much. I do like a few pickles on a burger sometimes, and pickle relish in tartar sauce, potato salad, that kind of thing. Pickled meat is a no for me.

This pork melts in your mouth and with apple sauce. Xmas day I have to make our son lee and his 2 eldest pickled red and apple sauce Sammy's to take home for their supper.
