Off to the restaurant again in an hour or so. Today we're planning on making butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, vadas, navratan korma and maybe a few other things.
When I get back this afternoon, I've got two rugby test matches to watch.

Take Carla at the Tastykakes outlet some cucumbers, bed linen laundry, and something in the kitchen. Been thinking of lentil soup for a few days now, perhaps with some seared beef tips???

Going to do pizzas in cousin A's outdoor pizza oven. He invited some of his other friends over. They are all a bit younger than we are (in their 30s and early 40s). Probably a lot of drinking going on and kids running around the backyard. Sounds like good times!

Going to finish pulling weeds in the back and left side yards, hoping that the Jurassic sized mosquitos don't take off with me!
Get us two packed for our hotel-stay-cation tomorrow, we're having a new and improved roof put on first thing Monday morning and we've been through that before, not fun to be in the house when the guys are wailing away with nail guns.

Today was expensive as far as typical Saturdays go:

Garden center - $20 (that’s good)
Aldi - $18 (ok, I usually spend twice that)
Lunch - $16 (that’s pretty cheap, too)
Sam’s Club - $150 (uh-oh)
Kroger - $90 (well, crap)
Gas station - $31 (that’s about average)

The most I ever get is 10¢/gal from Shell. I prefer their top-tier gas over the cheaper stuff.

Gas station - $31 (that’s about average)

1 vehicle is usually around $100 per tank. That's taking into account that filling up has to take into account that we need to be able to drive a minimum of 120km on what's left in the tank (applies to both vehicles). That vehicle needs filling up every 4-5 trips minimum.

And the other averages around $170 per tank full.

But that's much better and cheaper than the UK

My average trip 50-75 miles round trip and make a trip maybe every other day.
I've been averaging 22-24miles/gal of gasoline and the tank is 19 gallons max.
I usually fill up at our local Costco, which is top-tier gas, and I'll save about 30¢/gal over Fry's gas, and I never noticed if theirs is also top-tier.

Shhh, , SAE J312 mandates "what is" gasoline and here you can see a list of the -hundreds- of allowable additives...

There's a bit, sometimes, to working at a gas station...

It's father's day here. Our son lee was in Cairns Australia giving a display for his work and txt me if I wanted tequila or gin duty free. I think.im getting gin. He's still in.queenstown so we are going out to hs place and meeting daughter out there for a takeaway with lees other kids..

My Pa’s birthday today but he moved celebrations to tomorrow, which is a pita cos I have a lot on tomoz. Heyho.

I think I’ll go to the butchers and see what catches my eye but I’m thinking slow cooked curried leg of lamb because he likes lamb (possibly to Moss level ) and he always raves a lot when I do my fusion Sunday lunch which is essentially Sunday lunch with every component enjoying Indian spices in one guise or another.

I’m also wondering if I can squeeze in another Max’s sandwich shop recipe somewhere between work, food prep and some long overdue housework.

Hmm this all fits nicely with the unrealistically high bar I seem to enjoy when setting myself up for a fail
